Casey Wilson, MD RDMS joined the Emergency Medicine faculty as a Clinical Assistant Professor in 2018, after completing her residency training and working as Core Faculty at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She serves as the Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship Director.
During her final year of residency, Dr. Wilson was a Focused Advanced Specialty Training (FAST) fellow in Emergency Ultrasound. She received her Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certificate in 2016.
Dr. Wilson's interests include procedural ultrasound, with a specific focus in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia. She has experience in app development, website design, and an interest in utilizing emerging technology and social media in resident education.
In her spare time she loves to chase her two toddlers around the beach, attempt to keep up with her husband on the tennis and golf course, host friends and family visiting from up North, and plan events for FemInEM.

Dr. Jacob Pope was born and raised in Lexington, NC. He completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. Dr. Pope attended medical school at VCOM in Spartanburg, SC prior to matching into the Inaugural class of Grand Strand’s Emergency Medicine Residency Program, where he served as chief resident of his class. He then went on to be the Inaugural Emergency Ultrasound Fellow at Grand Strand and completed an additional year of advanced emergency ultrasound training.
Dr. Pope joined Grand Strand’s Emergency Medicine core faculty in 2021 and he currently serves as the Assistant Ultrasound Director. He is interested in all things related to Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS). Dr. Pope has a passion for teaching residents how to incorporate bedside ultrasound into their diagnostic algorithms in an effort to provide optimal patient care. Dr. Pope also has an interest in ultrasound guided regional anesthesia and its application in the emergency department.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Pope enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and daughter. He also enjoys working out, boating, fishing, and grilling.

Sanna Ho-Gotshall was born in Glendale, California. She moved to Indiana when she was 14 and subsequently attended Purdue University where she got her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences and her Masters degree in Molecular Biology. Dr. Ho-Gotshall attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. She completed her Emergency Medicine Residency at Grand Strand Medical Center and stayed on to complete an Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship there.
Her interests includes procedural ultrasound, ECHO, and TEE. In her free time she loves to spend time outdoors hiking with her dog and husband, going to the beach, and traveling. She is a huge foodie and loves trying new restaurants.
